About Ewelina

After graduation from the Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw and from Warsaw University in 2005, Ewelina started her professional career joining the tax advisory department in KPMG Tax (Customs and Excise Tax unit). From October 2007 she was employed in Krakow office of Ernst & Young, where she dealt with issues relating to indirect taxes (VAT, excise duties). In October 2009 she joined HLB M2. She participated in projects for the biggest Polish and foreign businesses operating on the Polish market. She conducted numerous comprehensive tax audits focused on the identification of tax risk factors and possible implementation of optimization measures. She prepared a number of opinions on a wide range of tax-related aspects of VAT, excise tax and income tax for both domestic and international entities. Now, she leads numerous tax proceedings, (including preparing requests for overpayment, appeals, and complaints to the regional administrative courts). She also deals with the analysis of withholding tax transactions between Polish and foreign entities.

Ewelina Nowakowska was awarded twice in the ranking of the best tax advisors by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna taking 3rd place in the category of VAT (2014) and in transfer pricing (2016).
